More than 100 guests gathered to connect with fellow RTP supporters, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and tour the unique Hiller Aviation Museum, a Peninsula landmark. RTP’s Executive Director, Melissa Lukin, shared updates about our free, year-round minor home repair services and volunteer-driven Rebuild Days, now in our 37th year.
The evening also featured a fireside chat moderated by RTP Board Chair, Peter Tsai, with two longtime RTP supporters: John McNellis – developer, investor, writer, lecturer, RTP Board Emeritus member, and longtime site captain – and Kevin Marks, a current and multi-term board member who has supported RTP for more than 20 years as both a sponsor representative and volunteer site captain for Rebuilding Days.
The event celebrated the generous community members who recognize the importance of preserving the Peninsula’s most cost-effective affordable housing – the homes that already exist. Through critical repairs and accessibility improvements, RTP helps homeowners age in place safely, independently, and with dignity, and enables local nonprofits to devote more resources to serving the community.
