Justin Matthews is the newest member of the RTP team. He brings a wealth of experience to his position and the organization as a whole. Originally from Houston, Justin comes from a family of contractors. After learning the basics from them, he went on to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and then worked as an independent insurance adjustor, a position that brought him to California during the recent outbreak of wildfires.
Justin was attracted to RTP because, he said, “It’s the exact opposite of what I’d been doing, which was telling homeowners what insurance would not cover in their home.” Often, these were safety hazards, such as a door that would not open or close. On the other hand, RTP takes on even small jobs — jobs that homeowners need — and Justin understands how important these things are.
Justin is excited to see the relief, comfort, and gratitude that homeowners experience when RTP addresses problems in their home. “A lot of these people are alone and need someone to talk to,” he said. “It’s good to be the person that people look forward to seeing.”
In his free time, Justin enjoys everything California has to offer, including golf, hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. He is passionate about working for an organization that does so much to keep people in their homes.
