Another successful Spring Rebuilding Season is here! During the weekend of April 25th alone, RTP partnered with hundreds of volunteers to repair and revitalize 16 homes and community spaces for our neighbors in need. In total, this year’s Rebuild season will complete 35 volunteer projects at 25 sites, including 12 homes and 13 community facilities including schools, daycare centers, and nonprofit agencies.
Generous sponsors – including the Woodlawn Foundation, Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, Rambus, and more than 20 additional partners – provided critical financial support for supplies and materials, as well as the volunteers who made these repairs and improvements. Special thanks to our network of nearly 30 volunteer site captains and skilled volunteers, whose leadership, expertise, and compassion brought each project to life.
Perhaps the greatest impact of Rebuild days is the sense of community it creates. After receiving a much-needed accessibility ramp for safer backyard access, Bertha, a homeowner in South San Francisco, shared: “This is excellent. It’s not just for me, but for the community, especially in these difficult times. It especially helps elderly people, and I feel grateful, thankful, and blessed.”
