Robert Skelton joined RTP almost two years ago as our first Manager of Marketing and Community Engagement. He comes to RTP with an extensive background in partnership marketing, having grown and serviced client relationships in advertising, sports marketing, and tourism. A native of the Bay Area, Robert spent several years in New York before returning to California in 2015.
Robert maintains and engages sponsors for our volunteer-driven fall and spring Rebuilding Days. He works closely with RTP’s program team to ensure high-quality team-building experiences for dozens of volunteer teams annually. But Robert’s duties don’t end there. He also directs our public education efforts about RTP’s work preserving affordable home ownership through marketing and branding, including social media.
World traveler. Avid explorer.
In his free time, Robert likes to hike and explore new areas. He is an avid international traveler and loves a good meal out. “My favorite trip is always the one I’m on,” he said. “But I always want to go back to Spain and Greece.” He’s also a big fan of Mexican Mayan ruins, and is trying to visit as many of those as he can. Right now plans are underway for a Kenyan safari at the end of this year.
