Our Community Impact
The San Francisco Peninsula is one of the most expensive housing markets in the United States, yet there is estimated to be more than 50,000 low-income households in the region.
Families with fewer resources are more likely to experience unsafe housing conditions and are least able to address them. This often includes seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, those with disabilities, and historically marginalized populations. The home repair service Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) offers at no cost provides these homeowners with increased affordable home ownership and renewed hope and dignity, while maintaining the diverse fabric of the community.
Did You Know?
In San Mateo County, falls account for 80% of accidental injury deaths in those 85 and older.
Simple in-home modifications offered by RTP like handrails, grab bars, and improved lighting can prevent such falls and their associated costs, allowing seniors to safely age-in-place in their own home.
*95% of clients report they have not been injured by a fall since RTP has completed repairs.
Client Impact
After our repairs, homeowners report:

Our Social ROI
For every $1 put into a home repair by the Rebuilding Together network, there is $2.84 of positive social impact value. Understand what we mean by clicking the link below.
