Apply for Repairs
If you are a homeowner in need of repairs, please visit our Application page for program eligibility and more information on our services. Once you qualify and your application is complete, we’ll schedule a Safe at Home assessment at your home.
Safe at Home repairs are provided by our on-staff technicians, our AmeriCorps members, and/or skilled volunteers offering their services. Larger repair needs may be performed by contractors or professional tradesmen and women.
All work is provided at no cost to qualifying homeowners.
“Thank you again. We all appreciate you for all the hard work you do to make our homes better, which improves our lives and well-being!”
Roselyn, an East Palo Alto Homeowner
Need Other Repairs?
‘Safe at Home’ is just one of our key home repair programs. To learn about how we help homeowners and community facilities through our other programs, visit our Programs page.
How to Support
Our Safe at Home program addresses minor repairs before they become larger and even more costly issues. In doing so, we help preserve affordable home ownership for some of our most vulnerable neighbors, including seniors, veterans, families experiencing disabilities and medical care in the home, and otherwise typically marginalized community members.
If you’d like to support our work, you can do so through a financial or in-kind donation, or as a volunteer. For more information, use the links below.
“Thank you and your staff for all that you have done to make my home habitable again. Without the help from your organization, I would have remained in serious difficulties, but thanks to you, all is well…thank you for all you have done for me.”
Kevin, a Moss Beach Homeowner
