San Mateo County
Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) partners with San Mateo County to help county residents affected by lead paint in the home.
The presence of lead-based paint has proven to be unhealthy, particularly for the development of children, and is more prevalent in homes built before 1978.
This multi-year lead paint safety program offers qualifying residents service at no cost, including both inspection and remediation by certified subcontractors to address unsafe levels of lead paint in the residence.
The Unleaded Homes Service
Are you a San Mateo County resident with possible lead-based paint in your residence? You may qualify for RTP’s remediation service at no cost to you if:
- Your home has at least one bedroom
- Your home was built before 1978
- Your household income qualifies within county guidelines. (See current San Mateo County ‘low income’ standards here.)
- Your household includes children and/or a Medi-Cal or WIC recipient
