Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Community Fund Recipients Announced

We’re honored to share that with the incredible generosity of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Community Fund, we’ll be able to continue our Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Initiative in East Palo Alto! This grant will push forward our efforts to help EPA residents with red-tagged ADU’s bring their homes up to code to prevent eviction from their family homes and displacement from their community. Redwood City: Stanford gifts helps keep the rent low in 25 apartments

For their 25th National Rebuilding Day, W.L. Butler Construction is teaming up with St. Francis, a North Fair Oaks-based nonprofit that saves and maintains affordable housing and provides a variety of services to at-risk families, to rehabilitate the Benedicere Apartments in Redwood City. Thanks to the hard work of St. Francis, the 25-unit apartment building will remain affordable housing for years to come. And thanks to the efforts of W.L. Butler Construction and Rebuilding Together Peninsula, the Apartments will undergo some much-needed repairs, restoring the low-income housing units to safe and healthy living spaces.

Menlo Park Kiwanis Club member honored for 25 years of service on National Rebuilding Day

Menlo Park Kiwanis Club member Tom Sako recently received an award for his 25 years of continued service on National Rebuilding Day, the signature event of Rebuilding Together Peninsula. He has organized the Kiwanis effort every year, and, as a local contractor, he has provided the leadership and planning needed to manage up to 20 volunteers to make sure all of the work could be completed in just one day.
