We’re delighted to share another successful repair project – this one with support from Measure K District 3 funding!
For one senior Coastside homeowner, repairs to a failing staircase and roof on his 1860-built home – and an overgrown yard that posed a fire hazard – was not only out of his financial reach, but unsafe as well. The repairs were also supported by a team from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League.
A Coastside homeowner-in-need can now age in place inside a safer, healthier home and pass the home on to his children. As he put it,
“Thanks so much for everything. (The RTP staff and volunteers) went far beyond my expectations and the results are as beautiful as they are functional!”
Measure K is a half-cent, voter-approved countywide sales tax. County Supervisor Ray Mueller helped allocate such local funds to support essential County services and to maintain critical facilities.
