We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Rebuilding Together Peninsula, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the Rebuilding Together website), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

Categories of Information We Collect and How

  • Contact information: While entering your information on our website, we ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, email address, first and last name, phone number, address, state, ZIP/Postal code, and city. We may receive and retain Personal Information about you when you contact Rebuilding Together Peninsula to make a donation, sign up as a volunteer, sign up for any of Rebuilding Together Peninsula’s activities or online content (such as newsletters or message boards); or when you telephone, email, or write to us, or engage with us via social media channels. We retain this information for the period of time necessary to achieve our objectives. We utilize RingCentral to contact your phone number. SMS opt-in or phone numbers for the purpose of SMS are not being shared. 
  • Credit card and billing information: When you make a donation or purchase, in addition to your contact information, Rebuilding Together Peninsula asks for your billing address and credit card or other financial services information. Rebuilding Together Peninsula uses a third-party banking agent to process your payments via a secured connection and Rebuilding Together Peninsula never retains your credit card information. Only employees who need access to your Personal Information to perform a specific job are granted access to that information, and Rebuilding Together Peninsula and our banking agent will not share your credit card/bank information with any other third party.
  • Google Analytics: We utilize Google Analytics to track information on our website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • Volunteer Registration: Your personal information is required to be able to contact you about volunteering opportunities with Rebuilding Together. 
  • Donations: Your personal information is required to process your donation.
  • Updates: Providing news and general information about events that are similar to those that you have already participated in.
  • Donor relations: We may use the contact information you provided us to follow up about donations and solicit donations. 
  • Newsletter: We may use your personal information to send you newsletters. 
  • For other purposes: We may use your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our service, products, services, marketing and your experience.
